Perched on a dramatic bluff high above the Pacific Ocean lies Timber Cove: iconic, reimagined. A one-of-a-kind hotel situated within California's ruggedly breathtaking Sonoma coastline, Timber Cove is a magical place where stately redwoods pay homage before the vastness of the sea. Guests experience a deep connection with nature, both land and sea, while relaxing in a casual, sophisticated space.
At Timber Cove, warm hues, sturdy timbers, and midcentury accents create a uniquely captivating hospitality experience. The newly renovated structure retains the iconic architecture and authenticity of the original 1960's legend while bestowing the comforts and amenities of a new hotel. One part modern hippie and two parts rustic modern, Timber Cove stands apart.
California's second smallest State Park is located at Timber Cove Resort. Designed by Beniamino Bufano, the Peace Statue Monument known as The Expanding Universe is an artistic masterpiece commissioned by Timber Cove's original owner in 1962. The dramatic obelisk is a powerful symbol of peace. In the same spirit, we hope Timber Cove will always remain place where guests come to take in nature, and celebrate, often times quietly, the true spirit of humanity.
Panoramic views, kelp-dotted coves and the dramatic sounds of pounding surf, Salt Point State Park is a must-visit destination for nature lovers. Featuring open grasslands, forested hills and pygmy forests, you can experience a host of coastal wonders within the park. Pack a picnic and choose from over 20 miles of hiking trails or visit an underwater park, go horseback riding or spend a day on the water fishing.
Fort Ross State Historic Park is a historical state park in Sonoma County, California, including the former Russian fur trading outpost of Fort Ross plus the adjacent coastline and native coast redwood forests extending inland.
Located right off Highway 1, Timber Cove is the perfect spot to take in the world's most famous drive, with Bodega Bay to the South one hour and the quaint town of Jenner also to the South.
